"ODS Youth Challenge"

Promoting the minds of tomorrow verse an innovative, entrepreneurial and sustainable progress in Terres de l'Ebre.

Projects proposed by the high school students of the IES de Terres de l'Ebre to respond to the challenges posed by the territory. The best project resulting from research will reward the members of the winning team with scholarships for the first university year.

Participating projects


  • Raising awareness of the environmental problems that threaten the Ebre Delta.
  • Identify solutions that respond to the environmental, social and economic problems of the territory.
  • Detect talent, increase scientific vocation and encourage commitment, among young people, to protect and restore the integrity of the ecological system of the Terres de l'Ebre.
  • Promote the dissemination of science and collaborative actions that generate constructive change to achieve more diverse and sustainable ways of life.
  • To share experiences of schools, institutes and entities that contribute to building a more sustainable world.
  • Encourage civic entrepreneurship and the digital participation of young people in the processes of open innovation and entrepreneurial discovery.
  • To enhance the experiences that promote knowledge and dissemination of the objectives of the Terres de l'Ebre Biosphere Reserve, and to promote knowledge of the Earth Charter.


The jury will consist of representatives from: participating institutes, Educational Services in the Terres de l'Ebre, the IRTA research center and other experts in the thematic areas of the contest, and the Innomnium Foundation.

Jury evaluation

The valuation criteria are based on:

  • Research: the research carried out on the subject in question and its degree of consultation and interaction in the digital knowledge network 4dLife (25 points).
  • Innovation: the solutions proposed to respond to the challenges posed in the projects (25 points).
  • Creativity: the creativity and technical quality of the video (25 points).
  • Social impact: the social benefits envisaged in the territory of the proposed solutions to address the problem raised (25 points).
