In September 2015, the UN General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda, the action plan consist in 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and a total of 169 goals to be achieved. From the Civic Foundation Innomnium, we promote entrepreneurship to identify, implement and certify innovative solutions in economic, social and environmental surroundings, through programs and projects aligned with the SDGs. Innomnium puts the main focus on action in Chapters 9, 11, and 17.

The goal of this SDG is to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and encourage innovation. Economic growth, social development and action against climate change depend, to a large extent, on investment in infrastructure, sustainable industrial development and technological progress.

The United Nations Assembly has proposed SDG 9 as at the end of the month, due to the importance of information and communication technologies in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.

The pandemic has brought to light the importance of these three concepts announced by SDG 9, whether for teleworking, the provision of health infrastructure or access to basic services. At the very least, there is still a long way to go for all countries to benefit to the maximum from the use of technologies, which is why it will be necessary to increase investment in scientific research and innovation.

Rural areas have an immense potential for industrialization in the agro-industrial sector, with good prospects for sustained employment generation and higher productivity. Each job in the industry generates 2.2 jobs in other sectors. The incorporation of the 4.0 linked to the SDGs in rural industry is key to achieving the resilience and sustainability of the territories.
